Micah Richards insists that Roy Keane has no issue with Bruno Fernandes despite their recent spat - but will not back down on his demands for Manchester United .
The Irishman and the current United skipper recently clashed when Keane felt that Fernandes was putting his assists ambitions before the team winning games. Fernandes would go on to break the Premier League record for assists in a single season.
United's playmaker also bit back at Keane, picking apart his criticism. Richards, a long-time colleague of Keane's, insists there is no major issue between the pair and the 54-year-old simply wants the team to aspire for the standards and achievements they enjoyed during his playing days.
Keane won seven Premier League titles and the Champions League whilst at Old Trafford, and Richards admits he struggles to comprehend how the club now celebrate finishing in the top four.
He exclusively told the Mirror : "When I'm working with Roy Keane , his standards are so high, and they've fallen a bit, he can't comprehend what's happening. He loves Bruno, I know they ad their little fallout, he's got nothing against Bruno.
"Its the standards, they shouldn't be celebrating getting in the Champions League. I think they finished where they should be, but I think its helped they played one game a week. He's passionate, when you've been the captain of Man Utd, that's only his opinion. Yes he played in better teams, but it is all to do with standards. If United were giving 100 percent every week and just falling short, he'd probably be a bit more complimentary.
"He just sees players not putting a foot in, not pressing, that's what he can't get his head around. Its not always about the ability, he got the most from his ability because he gave 100 percent."

United will embark on their new era under Michael Carrick next season with plenty of optimism given how the interim boss did before landing the job full-time. The Red Devils enjoyed several notable scalps, but their critics pointed to their lack of games as a caveat.
One of their major wins came at Arsenal , beating them 3-2 in January thanks to a late Matheus Cunha strike. It wouldn't prevent the Gunners ending their 22-year wait for a league title however as Mikel Arteta finally got them over the line.
The Spaniard couldn't complete a sensational double however as PSG got the better of them in the Champions League final. Arsenal scored early on but were pegged back before losing in heartbreaking fashion on penalties. Richards believes the north Londoners landed the prize that ultimately rewarded consistency, rather than the European Cup, which may carry more prestige, but can be won off the back of a cluster of good games.

"That's why I think the Champions League is a weird one," he claimed. "You're the best team in Europe, but you could just be going through a really good spell at the time. Real Madrid a few years ago, they beat Chelsea , PSG and Man City late on. They were just on a run where they're thinking 'we're unstoppable here' and that momentum. Obviously they had great players, but the league, you can't be lucky.
"I think the standard (in the Premier League) has dropped a bit because of the amount of games. You look at Chelsea, with the Club World Cup, they didn't get a rest. But a league, you don't win a league by luck, and yes it might not be pretty at times but they (Arsenal) fully deserved to win it."
Micah Richards has teamed up with meat snack brand Peperami for its Be Bold. Be Meaty campaign. He is fronting a major social-first content series set to air during the World Cup, as well as supporting the launch of the new Peperami x Doritos BBQ Sweet Tang limited edition range.
