The red tape is already affecting Jose Mourinho 's day-to-day business back at Real Madrid . At least in terms of how he gets to the office every day thanks to an exclusive club partnership not even 'The Special One' will be allowed to breach.
Los Blancos have an all-encompassing arrangement with BMW that prevents players driving any other brand of car to the Bernabeu or training ground. And that extends to the coaching staff, too, who are also obliged to drive the German manufacturer's wares.
Trent Alexander-Arnold discovered the same rule existed around this time last year after joining from Liverpool in an £8.4million deal . That meant the England international was not permitted to drive his £130,000 Range Rover P530 to work as he might have liked following his move to Spain .
Mourinho, who is no stranger to a mesmerising motor himself, will be expected to fall in line with the very same rules. And it will stop the former Chelsea , Manchester United , Tottenham , Roma and Benfica boss from using some expensive sets of wheels.

More specifically, it will stop his personal chauffeur from driving such an eclectic range of cars. But the fact remains he'll need to pick out a BMW from a pre-set catalogue of options as his new chariot of choice.
As a result, Mourinho will have to leave his existing collection in the garage most of the time. The Special One has stacked up quite the assortment of vehicles over the years, including a £200,000 Bentley and a Jaguar F-Pace .
However, his favourite drive is said to be a Ferrari 612 Scaglietti, which was reportedly gifted to him by former Chelsea owner Roman Abramovich in 2007. Mourinho turned up for his first day of training at Benfica last September in the classic car, which is said to have been valued at £250,000 at the time - and may be worth even more now.

Still, having to choose from a fairly elite range of hybrid and fully electric whips is no terrible thing. It's reported all Real athletes, including the women's team and basketball side, get a new motor to drive to training every season.
For example, Jude Bellingham and Kylian Mbappe each drive a BMW XM as their day-to-day motors. And a 748-horsepower steed that reaches 60 miles per hour in 3.8 seconds costing around £135,000 is now bad deal for a hand-out.
Sky has upgraded its Ultimate TV and Sky Sports bundle to now include HBO Max, Netflix, Disney+, discovery+ and Hayu, as well as 135 channels and full Sky coverage of the Premier League and EFL.
Meanwhile, team talisman Vinicius Junior has been spotted driving a BMW i7 M70 xDrive as his pick of the litter. Knowing Mourinho, however, he may well opt for one of the most modest options on the conveyor belt.
Expectations are high as Mourinho reunites with president Florentino Perez 13 years after his first Real stint came to an end. And while he may have to bow to the club's car policy, there will be just one person calling the shots overseeing Mourinho's squad this coming season.
