Here we go! Manchester City agree £20m Marc Guehi deal
Manchester City have reached an agreement with Crystal Palace to sign Marc Guehi for a fee in the region of £20m.
The England international has agreed personal terms with the Citizens and will sign a long-term contract at the Etihad.
Palace have reluctantly accepted a fee of around £20m for Guehi, whose contract at the club was due to expire in the summer.
Arsenal, Liverpool and Bayern Munich had all hoped to sign the centre-back for free this summer, but City have moved to wrap up a deal in January.
Pep Guardiola’s interest in Guehi emerged as City deal with a wealth of defensive absences. Ruben Dias, Josko Gvardiol and John Stones are all currently sidelined. At Newcastle in midweek, recalled loanee Max Alleyne partnered 21-year-old Abdukodir Khusanov.
John Stones’s deal is also set to expire in 2026 with doubts over an extension given his troubled fitness record.

Crystal Palace boss Oliver Glasner confirmed at his pre-Sunderland press conference that Guehi will not play for the Eagles tomorrow. An official announcement from both clubs is expected imminently.
