Hannah Blundell joins Everton on loan from Man Utd

Everton have completed the signing of defender Hannah Blundell on loan from Manchester United for the rest of the season.

Blundell missed the entire 2024/25 campaign after a pregnancy and has been on the comeback trail this season, featuring off the bench three times for the Red Devils and most recently starting her first match since May 2024 when United defeated Tottenham Hotspur in the League Cup quarter-final last month.

With the arrival of Hanna Lundkvist game time was going to be difficult for the full-back to find with United and the player has now completed a move to Merseyside.

Talking about her loan move the 31-year-old said: I am really excited! I can’t wait to get going and meet all the girls and our fans.

"The stadium is fantastic. Every time I have played against Everton, you can always hear the fans. They are always brilliant and I cannot wait to have them on my side and hopefully give them some excitement.

"Everton have got an amazing history – that is something I cannot wait to be a part of. I know some of the players which makes it a lot easier coming in. I am sure I am going to get along with all the girls – they seem like a great group and are fantastic players.

"The way the Club is going is something I am looking forward to being a part of. Playing at Goodison Park is fantastic."

Brian Sorensen's side are back in action on Sunday when they face a difficult trip to take on league leaders Manchester City.
