Chelsea will offer striker Nicolas Jackson to Juventus as part of their efforts to sign Andrea Cambiaso this summer.
The Blues this week confirmed the departure of Marc Cucurella with the Spain international sealing a £51million to Real Madrid .
A search for a replacement is underway with the club making contact with Juventus to discuss a move for Italy international Cambiaso, who has made over 100 appearances for the Bianconeri.
He was close to joining Manchester City in the January transfer window with Barcelona also monitoring his situation.
With talks underway, Chelsea are currently offering €28million (£24.2m) with Juventus under pressure to balance their books before the end of the month. The Serie A giants however want a fee closer to €40m (£34.6m) for Cambiaso.
Barcelona have already approached Juventus with a list of players deemed surplus to requirements to discuss a swap offer. Chelsea are also prepared to discuss one of their players going in the opposite direction with Jackson of interest, Gazzetta dello Sport report.
Jackson is set to return to Stamford Bridge after spending last season on loan at Bayern Munich . He meets the profile of what Juve are looking for up front and could tip things in Chelsea’s favour as they look to beat Barcelona to a deal.

Jackson joined Chelsea in 2023 from Villarreal for a fee of £32m, serving as Chelsea’s no1 striker for two seasons. The signings of Liam Delap and Joao Pedro pushed him down the pecking order, joining Bayern on loan last summer.
Cucurella’s exit meanwhile leaves a big hole to be filled at left-back with Jorrel Hato the club’s only other available option in that position.

Former Chelsea captain John Terry said this week Cucurella’s move to Madrid served as a ‘big loss’ for Chelsea with the timing ‘not good’ for new head coach Xabi Alonso.
