Cam Little, star kicker for the Jacksonville Jaguars, surprised everyone by speaking about Cristiano Ronaldo
T here is no doubt that the 2025 NFL season ended with a painful moment for one of the league's kickers: Tyler Loop , who missed a 44-yard field goal that led to the elimination of the Baltimore Ravens, while Aaron Rodgers' Pittsburgh Steelers were crowned AFC North champions and secured a playoff spot.
However, that same week also confirmed the emergence of one of the biggest revelations of the season: Cam Little, the Jacksonville Jaguars kicker, who has already made history in just his second year in the NFL. Against the Tennessee Titans, Little connected on the second-longest field goal in league history, a 67-yard attempt that sailed through the uprights with ease, solidifying his status as one of the best kickers in the NFL.
Cam Little does not only hold that achievement, as he also owns the top spot. Earlier in the season, he drilled a 68-yard field goal against the Las Vegas Raiders, surpassing the previous official record of 66 yards set in 2021. As a result, Little now holds the two longest field goals ever recorded in NFL history.
Cam Little dedicated it to Cristiano Ronaldo
Last Sunday's moment was simply emotional-not only because the 67-yard kick was successful, but also because Cam Little's celebration was dedicated to one of the greatest soccer players of all time: Cristiano Ronaldo. During the celebration, Little made a gesture and said "calm, calm," similar to what the Portuguese star often does when he scores goals.
After the game, Little was asked whether the celebration was inspired by Cristiano Ronaldo, and the kicker, visibly excited, confirmed it: "The celebration was really inspired by Cristiano Ronaldo... Ronaldo is one of my favorite soccer players," said the Arkansas graduate.
In fact, Cam Little has an even longer field goal , though it does not appear in the record books because it came during the preseason. In a matchup against the Pittsburgh Steelers, he connected on a 70-yard kick, which would have been an official record had it occurred in the regular season. There is no doubt that he has established himself as the best kicker in the NFL at this moment, even ahead of Brandon Aubrey.
Cam Little was selected in the sixth round of the 2024 NFL Draft out of the University of Arkansas, with the 212th overall pick. With that selection, he became the youngest kicker ever drafted in the NFL, and he is now etching his name into the history books.
