Benjamin Sesko believes ‘great things are coming’ for Manchester United as the Red Devils’ step up their search for a new manager. Ruben Amorim was sacked by club chiefs earlier this week, with former midfielder Darren Fletcher put in temporary charge.
He secured a point in his opening game as United drew 2-2 with Burnley . Club chiefs are are still in the process of trying to find Amorim’s successor, with Fletcher potentially an interim option, while former boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is also in talks over a return.
But whoever is in charge, Sesko is backing United to recover sooner rather than later due to the spirit in the changing room. Asked if the side has resilience, the Slovenian replied: "Definitely.
“I think in general we're a really great group. We're doing everything to try prove ourselves every single time.
"We just have to keep going, keep pushing, because I think we're great and, yeah, I believe that great things are coming."
Like United, Sesko has had his issues this season following a £74m switch from RB Leipzig . Ahead of the trip to Turf Moor, he had scored just twice in the Premier League but is now relieved to be back on form.
Speaking about his brace, Sesko added: "It feels great because we created great chances, especially with those two goals. Great movements, great ball.
"With this kind of situation, we are showing what team we are, what we are capable of and, yeah, it's great for the future, obviously."

And while Sesko is predicting big things for United, he has sent a demand to his teammates to now aim for victories as United attempt to rise from seventh in the Premier League standings.
He said: “It feels obviously disappointing because I think we were fighting, we were giving our best, we were creating a lot of chances. Basically, the ball was two times in the net, like over the line, but the opponent just took it out.
"We're creating good chances. Unfortunately, we received two goals. We still get a draw, which is important, but now it's just up to us to try to focus on the details and try to win the next game."
Sesko and United will be back in action this weekend as they host Brighton at Old Trafford in the FA Cup , with their next Premier League clash coming in the Manchester Derby vs City a week later.
