Ben Davies was forced to come off during the first half of Tottenham Hotspur's clash against West Ham. The 32-year-old defender appeared to suffer an injury to his left leg following a collision with Jarrod Bowen.

Davies was taken off the field on a stretcher, and he was replaced by Djed Spence. As it stands, the severity of the issue remains to be seen, and Thomas Frank will be expected to provide an update after the game.

The Wales international, whose contract at Hotspur Way expires at the end of the season, has only recently returned to action after a lengthy spell on the sidelines. Davies suffered a hamstring injury in October, missing five huge clashes against Aston Villa, Everton, Chelsea, Manchester United, and Arsenal.

He made his return to the matchday squad at the end of November, featuring on the bench in a 2-1 defeat to Fulham. Davies eventually made his first appearance of the season, enjoying a brief cameo in the UEFA Champions League.

The Welshman was given 20 minutes or so towards the end of a dominant 3-0 win over Slavia Praha. A few days later, Davies came off the bench, again, in a disappointing 3-0 defeat to Nottingham Forest in the Premier League.

A couple of weeks later, he made his first start of the campaign, and just his second across all competitions, in a 1-1 draw to Sunderland. Davies fired Tottenham ahead on the half-hour mark before Brian Brobbey levelled proceedings at the end of the game.
