The Reds were comfortably ahead courtesy of outrageous strikes from Dominik Szoboszlai and Jeremie Frimpong .
However, Szoboszlai went from hero to zero moments before the break as he attempted to back heel the ball to goalkeeper Giorgi Mamardashvili in his own box.
The move backfired in spectacular fashion as Adam Phillips stole possession and fired home from close range to put Barnsley firmly back in contention.
It was certainly a moment to savour for the 27-year-old midfielder, who spent eight years in Liverpool's academy before he was released in 2017 after a series of injury concerns.
He never made a competitive senior appearance for the Reds, but did feature in a pre-season friendly aged 16.

Tonight will be one to remember for the midfielder.
