Arsenal. bolstered their hopes of claiming the Premier League title as they beat 10-man Chelsea at the Emirates Stadium on Sunday.

The Gunners took the lead through William Saliba , whose header found the back of the net via an inadvertent touch from Mamadou Sarr. Piero Hincapie put through his own net to level the game just before the break.

Jurrien Timber then restored the Arsenal lead from yet another corner. Things then got even worse for Chelsea as Pedro Neto was sent off for two quickfire yellow cards as Arsenal celebrated a potentially pivotal victory.

Liam Delap thought he had stolen a crucial point for Chelsea late on as he tapped home from close range but the Blues' celebrations were cut short, with Joao Pedro flagged offside.

Here are all of the talking points from the Emirates:

Chelsea started relatively well at the Emirates but it appeared that one player was going to cost them: Robert Sanchez. The Spaniard gave the ball away a host of times during the first-half.

After the third occasion, teammate Trevoh Chalobah turned around and gave him a piece of his mind, with Gary Neville also claiming that someone should 'rip his head off'.

While that is probably a bit extreme from the former Manchester United defender, Sanchez has certainly been Chelsea's Achilles heal on a few too many occasions.

Arsenal are undoubtedly the masters of scoring from set pieces, so much so that their rivals have started copying their techniques. But Mikel Arteta's side remain the best and underlined that once more vs Chelsea.

Declan Rice's corner was nodded back by Gabriel, who had peeled off at the back post. He picked out defensive colleague Saliba, who aimed a header towards goal. The ball took a touch off of Sarr, which wrong-footed Sanchez and found the net.

Arsenal were fortunate to be assisted by a touch by a Chelsea body when they scored their opener. Ironically enough, the Blues then benefitted in near-identical circumstances.

From a Chelsea corner, Reece James whipped the ball into the box. Piero Hincapie got to the ball and guided it beyond Raya and into the Arsenal net.

Chelsea might have felt justice had been done after a handball from Declan Rice went unpunished just moments earlier.

While Sanchez's main drawback at the Emirates was his ability - or lack thereof - on the ball, he then ended up costing Chelsea in the air.

From yet another Rice corner, the Chelsea goalkeeper flapped at the ball, with it dropping onto the head of Jurrien Timber, who headed in. The Spaniard loudly appealed for a foul but they fell on deaf ears and justifiably so.

Sanchez was simply not strong enough. The goal however saw Arsenal match the Premier League record for the most corners scored from in a single season with 16.

A bad day at the office then got even worse for the Blues. After complaining at the perceived foul on Sanchez, Neto was given a yellow card.

And just moments later, he was cautioned once again as he hacked down Gabriel Martinelli on the counter attack.

Neto unsurprisingly became the ninth separate player to be sent off for the Blues this season. If boss Rosenior didn't think his side had a disciplinary issue before, he certainly will now.

This was the week that was potentially set to make or break Arsenal's challenge for the Premier League title. And they've passed it with flying colours.

Despite Spurs' woeful form, last week's clash was an occasion that the Gunners needed to rise to. The same could certainly be said against Chelsea.

But Arteta's side approached both games with consumate professionalism and secured maximum points. It leaves them five points clear of Manchester City and they remain favourites to claim the title.
